my week in food

my week in food

The weekend started off with a simple breakfast, since we were meeting a photographer downtown Annapolis Saturday morning for some maternity pictures. After a fun shoot, we stopped by a local bakery (Bakers & Co.) and fueled up on some scones and coffee.

Sunday I felt like eating a more substantial breakfast, so I whipped up some bacon, eggs, toast and fruit. I put the bacon on a cooling rack, on a cookie sheet and baked it in the oven. Mess free and super easy. Plus the bacon stays nice and flat.

After breakfast we headed to a baptism, which was wonderful.

The week in food was pretty weak overall. I haven’t been feeling so well, so the last thing I want to do on most days is cook.

Breakfasts and lunches were as easy as I could make them with oatmeals, cereal, toast, BLT’s and turkey sandwiches.

Luckily I still had a freezer meal for dinner on Monday and my sister invited us over for pizza one night 😀

Tuesday our local liquor store had this amazing sale, called Dollar Days. They sell everything in the store at only $1 markup. Naturally my sister, her youngest, L and I went to stock up on a little wine. I figured I’d stock up a little before the baby arrives. Compared to everyone else at that store, my cart was empty!!

We’ll see if this upcoming week is a little better with food. I am still not feeling so great, but I also love food to much to just keep having lazy lunches and dinners 😝.
