turkey stock
Today I spent the whole morning cooking a turkey for a 🦃 carving “how to” article I am working on.
After carving, I threw the bones into a large pot with onions, carrots, rosemary, a bay leave, thyme, sage, lots of whole black pepper, covered with water and let it simmer for a few hours. I strained it through a cheese cloth and portioned it into mason jars and freezer bags for easy freezing!
Now all I have left to do is figure out what I’m going to use these 38 cups of stock for 😝!!
So don’t threw away your bones next week, before you’ve made some stock ☺️!
