Hi Nicole! I personally haven’t tried making them GF, but I would imagine they should work great with GF flour.

Absolutely love this recipe but wondered if you knew if anyone has ever tried to make these gluten free? I have a guest coming for Christmas brunch who has an autoimmune disease and needs to eat GF.

Hi Laura! I always use the low fat buttermilk that is easier to find at the grocery store. I would assume that taste and texture would be better with the whole fat buttermilk because everything is better whole fat!

Question…I always get whole fat buttermilk which isn’t easy to find. Is it better to use low fat or non fat buttermilk? Not what is best for health (I mean it’s pancakes, let’s just enjoy the treat 😋) but what is best for taste and texture?

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve made these pancakes. I don’t usually have buttermilk on hand, but when I do, I’m so excited to put these together!

A little story: Tonight is my two year wedding anniversary, but my husband and I are broke right now and can’t afford to go out… or even buy groceries. But I have powdered buttermilk and all the other ingredients, so I set the table all fancy and am cooking these up and I know they’ll make just as delicious an anniversary dinner as any restaurant! Here’s to many more years, and many more pancakes.
