Hi Katherine! I’m so sorry! Those instructions were very confusing. The brown sugar should be added in step 4. Sprinkle the 1/3 cup + 2 Tablespoons brown sugar over the top before leaving it too cook. I hope this helps! So sorry for the confusion!

The instructions are a bit confusing. #3 and #4 both say 1/3 cup brown sugar. So, is it 2/3 cup of brown sugar ??

Hi Ben! Great question! You can definitely use dried parsley. Dried herbs will be much more concentrated in flavor so you only need a fraction of the amount called for in the recipe. In general, you will add 1 teaspoon of dried herb for everything 1 tablespoon called for in the recipe. If you go with fresh herbs, they will usually keep in the fridge for a few days.

I’m looking forward to making this in my slow cooker. But here is my problem…!! I live by myself. The problem I find on recipe sites call for fresh herbs, teaspoon table spoon etc. How would I keep fresh herbs from going bad, I’m clueless Carrian ? Have no knowledge for growing herbs ? Can I use dry parsley on this recipe ? Thank you for taking the time to read this, I appreciate any help you can assisted me with, I’m now a little above a novice cook…lol… Thank you Carrian…

Yes absolutely! You’ll miss a little bit of flavor, but it will be delicious!

We have it set for 1 thigh per person. That’s typically how much we have per person, but it definitely depends on what you want to do.

I have made this today, it was very nice, but serve 8 no chance.
