In reply to MJ. Hi MJ! You can definitely get a chuck roast (or any type of beef you love) and cut it into bit size pieces yourself. I've never had a problem with stew meat becoming nice and tender.

Stew meat? Will it really get tender or would a different cut of beef work better? I’d rather cut something into my own size pieces than buy a pkg of stew meat already cut up.
