This Easy Air Fryer Fried Apple Rings is the most delicious fall dessert recipe! These Apple Rings are the most mouthwatering apple slices covered with a batter that puffs up and is coated with crunchy cinnamon sugar.

It’s like an apple pie, apple crisp and donut all in one and with a fraction of the effort!

FRIED APPLE RINGS

Fried Apple Rings or Apple Fritters were one of my favorite treats growing up in Washington. The only problem was getting them. They are a specialty treat even in the state of apples.

Ingredients for Fried Apples in the Air Fryer

  • Flour: Acts as the base for the simple batter.
  • Sugar: Adds sweetness and texture to the batter.
  • Baking Powder: Give the batter some rise and fluffiness.
  • Salt: Enhances the flavors.
  • Whole Milk: Binds all the batter together.
  • Egg: Give the batter structure.
  • Butter: Adds rich flavor to the batter. Helps the sugar spice mixture to stick to the rings.
  • Vanilla Extract: Adds flavor.
  • Cinnamon: Adds warm flavor that is a signature combination with apple.
  • Ground Cardamom: Adds an additional layer of warm flavor.
  • Granny Smith Apples: Honeycrisp apples could also be used. Avoid using soft apples like McIntosh or Golden Delicious.

How to Make This Fried Apples Recipe

  1. Prep: Peel, core and slice the apples. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Make Batter: Combine all the ingredients for the batter in a medium bowl starting with whisking the dry ingredients and then adding the wet ingredients.
  3. Make Cinnamon Coating: In a separate small bowl, whisk together the sugar, cardamom and sugar.
  4. Coat the Apples: Dip the apples in the batter and place them in a single layer on the parchment lined baking sheet.
  5. Freeze: Stick the baking sheet in the freezer and let the battered apples freeze for 45-60 minutes.
  6. Air Fry: Preheat the air fryer and then air fry the apples in batches for 7-9 minutes.
  7. Finishing Touches: Immediately brush the air-fried apples with melted butter and dredge in the cinnamon sugar. Serve immediately!

PRO TIP

Cut your apples using a chef’s knife or a mandolin for faster, even slicing. I like to use a little melon baller to remove the core.

Tips for Making Air Fryer Fried Apple Rings:

  • Use the right apple! A firm apple like Granny Smith, Gala or Honey Crisp is essential.
  • In a hurry? You can leave the peel on!
  • Use a mandolin slicer to cut the apples into even 1/4 inch slices so they cook evenly.
  • Do NOT make in advance! These are not a good make ahead treat, however they reheat fairly well just not as crispy.
  • Make it a la mode! Top a stack off with some vanilla or caramel ice cream and caramel sauce drizzle.

How to Reheat Fried Apple Rings

Heat the air fryer or oven to 400 degrees F and reheat until puffing and crisping again. They will be softer than the original, but still delicious.

This is the ultimate air fry baked potatoes recipe that’s crispy on the outside and perfectly fluffy on the inside! All in under an hour! With minimal effort and just a few simple ingredients, you’ll get that classic baked potato taste without heating up the oven.

Whether you’re loading it up with butter, cheese, or your favorite toppings, this quick and easy method will become your go-to for weeknight dinners and weekend comfort food. Once you try it, you’ll wonder how you ever baked potatoes any other way!

Air fry baked potatoes sliced open to reveal its fluffy, steaming center. A melting pat of butter and a sprinkle of fresh chives nestle inside the split potato.

It’s the texture for me. There’s just something so satisfying about a classic, old-fashioned baked potato! The crisp, crackly salted skin and that soft, fluffy center melting with butter. Truly, there’s nothing better than gathering around the table for a simple dinner at home with piping hot baked potatoes on the side.

I used to think you had to wrap them in foil to get them just right (didn’t we all?), but a few years living in Idaho taught me otherwise. I became a full-on baked potato expert, and now, the air fryer is my secret weapon.

Over the past year, our recipe for How to Make Baked Potatoes in the Oven with Crispy Skin has quickly climbed the charts as one of the most viewed recipes on our site. And I get it! That crispy skin is pure gold. But I’ll be honest: while I still love the oven method, the air fryer has officially won me over. It’s now my favorite way to cook baked potatoes.

What You’ll Need to Make Air Fry Baked Potatoes

You only need three simple ingredients to make perfect air fryer baked potatoes! Plus any toppings you love. This recipe is all about crisp skin, fluffy insides, and minimal effort.

  • Russet Potatoes: Starchy with thick skin, ideal for baking.
  • Oil (Olive Oil or Avocado Oil): Helps the skin get golden and crisp.
  • Kosher Salt: A simple seasoning that boosts flavor.
  • Toppings (Optional): Try butter, sour cream, cheddar, bacon, chives, or chili.

These basic ingredients are all you need to make baked potatoes that are crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and endlessly customizable with your favorite toppings. Check the recipe card below for more details and tips.

How to Dress Up a Baked Potato

When it comes to baked potato toppings, the options are endless, but a few classics always hit the spot. A generous sprinkle of sharp cheddar cheese melts beautifully into the fluffy center, while a hearty scoop of chili turns your potato into a full meal.

Add a dollop of sour cream for a cool, creamy contrast, and finish with a handful of chopped chives or green onions for a fresh bite. Don’t forget a pinch of salt and pepper to bring everything together, and if you’re feeling indulgent, crispy bacon bits are the perfect savory crunch. Whether you’re keeping it simple or going all out, these toppings take your baked potato to the next level.

Healthy Hack

Try swapping sour cream with Greek yogurt for a protein-packed alternative! It’s creamy, tangy, and so similar in taste you might not even notice the difference.

How To Make Air-Fried Baked Potatoes

Whether you’re serving air fryer baked potatoes as the perfect side dish for your favorite steak or enjoying one as a hearty meal on its own, this step-by-step guide will help you master the ultimate baked potato. With irresistibly crispy skin and fluffy insides, it’s a foolproof method that’s fast, easy, and life-changing!

  1. Scrub: Wash and dry russet potatoes thoroughly.
  2. Poke: Use a fork to prick each potato 6–8 times.
  3. Season: Rub with oil and generously sprinkle with kosher salt.
  4. Preheat: If needed, preheat your air fryer to 400°F.
  5. Cook: Air fry at 400°F for 35–45 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  6. Check: Potatoes are done when fork-tender.
  7. Serve: Slice open and top with cheese, black pepper, sour cream, bacon bits, or your favorite toppings.

With this foolproof method, you’ll get restaurant-quality baked potatoes in less time and with less fuss. It’s an easy upgrade to any meal, or a meal all on its own!  For the full, detailed instructions, see the recipe card down below.

What to Eat With Air Fry Baked Potatoes

These air fryer baked potatoes are incredibly versatile and make the perfect base or side for a variety of meals. Pair with your favorite protein for a hearty, satisfying dinner — they’re especially delicious alongside pulled pork,  juicy smoked chicken, or a simple serving of roasted broccoli. Whether you’re keeping things classic or loading them up, these baked potatoes fit right in.

How to Store and Reheat Air Fry Baked Potatoes

Once cooled, wrap baked potatoes in aluminum foil and store them in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. To reheat, remove the foil and pop them in the microwave for a quick option, just keep in mind the skin won’t stay as crispy. For better texture, reheat in the air fryer or oven to help bring back some of that crispiness.

Air Fryer Baked Potato FAQs

Do I have to pierce potatoes before air frying?

Yes! Using a fork or knife to pierce the potatoes is what allows steam to escape as they cook. If you skip this step, the potatoes could burst open in the air fryer. And I know from experience. 😉

Should I wrap potatoes in foil before cooking?

Everyone in Idaho is screaming, “NO!” right now. Wrapping potatoes in tin foil before air frying or baking makes the skin soggy. Instead, leave them alone and only season the potato skins with olive oil and sea salt. This is what makes them super crispy!

How long should I cook baked potatoes in the air fryer?

The exact timing on how long to cook baked potatoes in the air fryer will depend on your specific air fryer and the size of the potatoes. Typically a large potato takes around 45 minutes at 400 degrees.

Crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside! These air fryer baked potatoes are a simple, satisfying addition to any meal. With just a few ingredients and minimal prep, they come together effortlessly and pair perfectly with all your favorite toppings. Once you try this method, it just might become your go-to method to bake a potato.

Two Years of Testing…

I’ve been testing our air fryer salmon recipe for over 2 years now and I’ve discovered the absolute best dry rub recipe that takes this salmon from delicious to down right addicting. In fact, it is the best easy summer dinner recipe ever!! Yes, it is possible to make salmon in the air fryer without drying it out and yes, even our kids, the seafood haters love it!

Fresh Strawberry Mango and Avocado salsa

Our fruit salsa takes a regular salmon rice bowl from good to amazing!

This fruit salsa is the kind of sweet topping even picky eaters love!

No oven, no mess, and totally weeknight-friendly! This is a quick, healthy dinner that doesn’t feel like just getting something on the table.

Ingredients for Salmon Bites

All you need are simple pantry staples to make this dry rub for salmon.

In the next section, you can see all the ingredients you will need for the mango salsa– you will want to hit the produce section for those ingredients. Here is everything you will need:

For the Salmon

  • Salmon– Look for skinless salmon filets to save yourself time on skin removal then just cut them into evenly sized, small cubes !
  • Brown Sugar– A hint of sweetness, but it also helps to caramelize into a mouthwatering crust on the salmon.
  • Spices– Smoked Paprika, Chili Powder, Garlic Powder, Onion Powder, Cayenne, Thyme, Cinnamon, and Salt: My spice blend of choice! The cinnamon is a secret ingredient!
  • Coconut Oil Spray– This ingredient is a must! It adds the best flavor while keeping the seafood from sticking. Don’t worry, it doesn’t taste like coconut, but my testing showed the salmon turned out best with coconut oil spray!

For the Strawberry Mango Salsa

  • Mango– Be gentle as you lightly touch the mango and apply a little pressure- A ripe mango will give slightly when squeezed, and have a sweet smell near the stem. Avoid wrinkly skin.
  • Avocado– Press using a thumb and forefinger on the top and bottom of an avocado to test for ripeness, it should give a little.
  • Strawberries– A little sweetness with more texture helps balance the salsa.
  • Lime– Not only does it add a little acid, lime juice keeps your fruits from browning while you make dinner!
  • Jalapeño– This can be skipped if little kids are eating the salsa, but 1/2-1 jalapeno really adds flavor.
  • Cilantro– Fresh cilantro helps to break up the sweetness and acid in the salsa.

The measurements and all the details for the ingredients can be found in the recipe card at the end of the post.

How to Cook Salmon in the Air Fryer

Preheat that air fryer and you’re less than 10 minutes from dinner! Here are the basic steps:

  1. Prep: Preheat the air fryer and place the salmon pieces in a mixing bowl.
  2. Season the Salmon: Combine all of the seasonings for the rub in a small bowl and toss with your salmon.
  3. Cook the Salmon: Spray the air fryer pan with coconut spray and place the salmon in the pan. Cook for 7 minutes and be sure to flip it half way through.
  4. Make the Salsa: While the salmon is cooking, prepare the salsa and let it chill in the fridge until ready to serve.

Tips for Making the Best Air Fryer Salmon Bites

We’ve cooked salmon every which way –Oven Baked Salmon in Foil, Grilled Salmon, Skillet Salmon. Through trial and error we’ve learned important tips for making salmon.

Top tips for having success with air fry salmon bites recipe:

  1. Cut the salmon pieces to the same size so that they cook evenly.
  2. Well coat the salmon on all sides with the dry rub. That brown sugar is going to crystallize and make the most amazing crust.
  3. Spray the air fryer basket with coconut oil cooking spray AND spray the tops of the salmon to avoid sticking and encourage proper browning.
  4. Don’t overcrowd the basket! You may need to do a couple of rounds depending on the size of your air fryer, but you want that air circulating!

How to Know When Salmon is Cooked

Starting to cook fish was intimidating to me. If you feel the same, here’s how you can verify.

Because the salmon is cut into small pieces and cooked at such a high temperature, you don’t really have to worry about whether or not it’s cooked. To be certain it is, salmon flakes easily with a fork or knife, and the internal temperature reaches 135°F to 145°F when fully cooked.

Do I Remove Salmon Skin?

Yes, I prefer to remove the skin before seasoning and cooking the salmon bites. This way you can flip the bites while they are cooking and get them crispy on all sides. Better yet, buy it already skinned!

Can I Use Frozen Salmon?

I’ve tested both fresh and frozen salmon so you don’t have to wonder if that frozen filet will let you down. Frozen salmon works just great! You need to let it defrost enough to be able to cut and for the dry rub to stick to it and you may need to add a minute or two to the cooking time.

Can I Make This Recipe in the Oven?

Yes, you can make salmon bites in the oven! You won’t get that same super crispy crust on the outside but it is still fabulous!

Preheat the oven to 450℉ and place the seasoned salmon bites in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment. Bake for 8-10 minutes. If you want to get a little crispiness on the outside, change the oven to broil and let it cook for 1-2 minutes.

What to Eat with Air Fryer Salmon Bites

I love to eat my salmon and salsa plain, but our family often serves it up with cilantro lime rice or my real favorite, coconut rice. If you are looking to cut the carbs, our cilantro lime cauliflower rice is a great alternative! You can make it as a salad, or alongside roasted sweet potatoes as well. The options are endless!

Storing and Reheating

How to Store Cooked Salmon:

If you have leftover salmon bites, make sure they have cooled completely and then store them in an airtight container in the fridge. They will keep for 3-4 days.

How to Reheat Salmon:

Place the salmon bites in the air fryer preheated to 400 degrees F and let them cook for 2-3 minutes or the oven at 425 degrees F for a few minutes.

Crispy, tender Air Fryer Salmon Bites topped with a sweet and spicy mango strawberry salsa—ready in under 10 minutes! An easy, healthy dinner your whole family will love.

These delicious zucchini fritters are made with parmesan cheese and fresh basil for a flavorful twist. They are the perfect way to use up summer zucchini and make for a tasty appetizer or side dish.

You are going to go nuts for these crispy parmesan basil zucchini fritters! They are perfectly crunchy, full of cheesy goodness and so much flavor with only a few ingredients! Get ready to fall in love with your new favorite zucchini recipe.

I love to find new ways of using that bursting with produce zucchini plant and these parmesan basil zucchini fritters recipe is a perfect way to mix things up from the traditional zucchini bread, zucchini lasagna etc.

Ingredients for Zucchini Fritters

If you have zucchinis overflowing in your garden, grab a couple of them and a few other simple ingredients. I always like to see a quick overview of the ingredients so I know what to grab at the grocery store. Here is everything you will need:

  • Zucchinis: shredded small with a box grater, no need to peel them
  • Egg: helps bind the fritter together
  • Flour: gives the fritters structure and just regular all purpose flour is all you need
  • Chives: adds flavor
  • Basil: adds flavor
  • Salt and Black Pepper: adds flavor and the salt draws out moisture from the zucchini
  • Mozzarella Cheese: adds gooiness
  • Parmesan Cheese: adds flavor and crispiness

Dipping Sauce

  • Sour Cream: acts as the base for the dipping sauce, plain Greek yogurt can also be used
  • Feta Cheese: adds saltiness and flavor
  • Parsley: adds freshness
  • Lemon Zest and Juice: adds acidity and bright fresh flavor
  • Garlic: adds flavor
  • Salt and Pepper: adds flavor

I sprinkled some green onions on top for the photos so that’s totally an option if you want! The measurements for each ingredient can be found in the recipe card at the end of the post.

How to Make Zucchini Fritters

You won’t believe how easy it is to make these crisp zucchini fritters! Especially when you use the air fryer! Here are the steps:

  • Prepare the Zucchini: Grate zucchini using a box grater or food processor and then place in a colander with salt and let stand for 10 minutes.
  • Make the Sauce: While the zucchini is sitting, make the sauce. Place all ingredients into a blender and pulse until smooth. Set aside.
  • Squeeze: Using a cheesecloth or a clean kitchen towel, squeeze out as much liquid from the shredded zucchini. The salt will have released a lot of moisture.
  • Combine: Add all of the ingredients for the fritters into a mixing bowl and stir to combine.
  • Form the Fritters: Divide the zucchini mixture into 8 equal portions and shape each portion into 3″ patties.
  • Freeze: Place the patties in the freezer for 5-10 minutes to help them hold their shape better.
  • Cook: Preheat your air fryer to 350 degrees F. Place the zucchini patties in the air fryer in a single layer, working in batches if necessary. Air fry for 7 minutes, flip and do an additional 7-10 minutes or until they are golden brown and crispy on the outside.
  • Serve: Serve them hot with the dipping sauce on the side.

You can also find all of these instructions in the recipe card down at the end of the post.

Can I Make This on the Stovetop?

Yes, absolutely! Pour enough oil (canola or vegetable) in a dutch oven or high sided skillet to cover the bottom of the pan completely and be 1/2 to 1 inch deep. Heat the oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350 degrees. Carefully place each patty in the hot oil and let it fry for a few minutes until golden brown and then flip and let it fry for a few minutes more. Remove to a plate lined with paper towels. Cook the patties in batches so you don’t overcrowd the pan.

Can I Bake Zucchini Fritters?

Baking the fritters in the oven also works, but keep in mind that you won’t get that crispiness on the outside of the fritters. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees F. Place the uncooked fritters on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 20-25 minutes, flipping them once halfway through.

Why are My Zucchini Fritters Falling Apart?

The likely suspect for fritters that fall apart is that the batter is too wet. This is usually due to the zucchini. Be sure to really squeeze out as much water as you can from the zucchini.

Why are My Zucchini Fritters Not Crispy?

Again, the reason will be too much moisture in the batter from the zucchini.

What to Serve with Zucchini Fritters

While the air fryer is working its magic on these fritters inside, we like to have something going on the grill or smoker outside. Some of our favorite main dish options are:

Storing and Reheating

Leftovers should be stored in an airtight container in the fridge. They will keep for up to 3 days. They can also be frozen. Place them in a single layer on a baking sheet and freeze for an hour. Then move them to a ziploc bag. They will keep in the freezer for up to 3 months.

Cold fritters can be reheated in the microwave, air fryer, skillet or oven. I’ve found the air fryer to reheat them with the best flavor and texture. Preheat the air fryer to 350 degrees F and cook for 5-7 minutes.

Learn how to make a delicious and juicy steak in just minutes using an air fryer! This easy recipe will become a family favorite and is perfect for busy weeknights.

Cooking meat in the air fryer is my new favorite thing! It is quick and easy and turns out fabulous every time! Check out our other air fryer meat recipes: air fryer hot dogs, air fryer chicken wings, air fryer salmon, and air fryer whole chicken.

Since moving we’ve had to get rid of our grill, it’s a long story. But we’ve been craving a really delicious, perfectly grilled steak. So, I did a little research, played around with a few different temps and times and voila, New York City (or anyone else without a grill) you can officially have grill worthy steak right from your counter top!

Ingredients for Air Fryer Steak Recipe

This steak in the air fryer ends up seared on the outside and juicy on the inside and we use homemade garlic butter to add amazing flavor. Here is what you will need:

  • Ribeye Steaks
  • Kosher Salt
  • Black Pepper
  • Olive Oil

Garlic Butter

  • Butter
  • Garlic
  • Kosher Salt

The measurements and details for each ingredient can be found in the recipe card at the end of the post.

Best Steak for the Air Fryer

You want cuts of steak that are at least 1-inch thick with good marbling. Our first choice is a ribeye, but porterhouse, sirloin steak, New York strip, t-bone, top sirloin, and filet mignon would all work great too.

How to Air Fry Steak

This recipe is super easy, but it does take some planning ahead so be sure to start a day ahead. Here are the steps:

  1. Prep: The night before you plan to eat the steaks, pat them dry with paper towels and season with salt and pepper on both sides. Place them in the fridge uncovered.
  2. Rub: Pull the steaks out of the fridge and let them come to room temperature. Preheat the air fryer to 400 degrees F and rub olive oil all over both sides of the steaks.
  3. Cook: Place them in the air fryer for 6 minutes then flip and cook another 6 minutes.
  4. Rest: Let the steaks rest for 10 minutes and top with garlic butter (see instructions below) for serving.

For the Garlic Butter

  1. Mix: Add all the ingredients to a small bowl and stir to combine completely.
  2. Shape: Move the butter mixture to a piece of parchment paper and form it into a log shape. Twist the ends to close.
  3. Refrigerate: Place in the fridge for at least an hour, up to 1 week.

All these instructions can be found in the recipe card where you can also save or print the recipe.

Recommended Equipment

Air Fryer: We love our Instant Pot Omni 10-in-1 Air Fryer. Not only does it air fry, but it also bakes, roasts, broils and even dehydrates. I’m sure any air fryer would do fine with this recipe, but this particular one is our favorite!

Meat Thermometer: The key to the perfect steak is to not overcook it! Using a meat thermometer will help you get the doneness you desire!

What to Eat with Steak

When it comes to having steak for dinner, just about any and all side dishes will go great with it! I’m going to give you a couple of ideas for salads, vegetables, bread and potatoes to eat with it.

Salads

Vegetables

Bread

Potatoes

How Long to Cook Steak in the Air Fryer

The air fryer takes all the guess work out of cooking the perfect steak! When you grill or cast iron a steak, you never quite know when it’s the doneness you desire. With the air fryer, you just set the time and flip once.

Medium: 12 minutes, flip at 6 minutes

Medium-rare: 10 minutes, flip at 5 minutes

Rare: 8 minutes, flip at 4 minutes.

If you want it more done than that, you shouldn’t be eating steak. Ok, that’s a bit harsh, but steak should never be cooked past medium. If you must, cook it for 14-16 minutes flipping halfway through.

What Temp Should I Cook Steak?

I prefer my steaks cooked medium or medium rare, but I know people have strong feelings about the doneness of their steak. Here are the temperatures to look for:

  • Rare: 125°F
  • Medium-Rare: 135°F
  • Medium: 145°F
  • Medium Well: 155°F
  • Well: 160°F

Tips for the Best Air Fryer Stea

Make sure your steak isn’t too thin or it will cook inside too quickly before getting the outside nice and brown. You want it to be at least 1 inch thick.

Drying the steaks before air frying them is essential to getting that good sear on the outside. Pat them dry on all sides with a paper towel and let them sit uncovered in the refrigerator overnight.

Brushing oil on the outside will also help the steaks brown on the outside.

Make sure to give the steaks time to come to room temperature before cooking them. It will make all the difference for the best cook and flavor.

Give the steaks plenty of space in the air fryer basket. They shouldn’t be touching and should have plenty of room around them so the air fryer can work its magic!

Storing and Reheating

Leftovers should be stored in an airtight container in the fridge. It will keep for 3-4 days. I recommend reheating it in the air fryer for the best results.

Do yourself a favor and make your next steak in the air fryer! It’s the perfect answer for the winter months when you don’t want to freeze your buns off outside at the grill! The outside is seared and flavorful and the inside just melts in your mouth!

Discover a simple and tasty way to cook broccoli using an air fryer. This recipe is perfect for busy individuals looking for a healthy and quick vegetable side dish. Those crispy edges are everything!

I have been on an air fryer recipes kick lately and one night I wanted to try something different with our veggies. So instead of roasting our broccoli, I tried cooking it in the air fryer. I loved that I got similar results to roasting it but in a fraction of the time. You can make this recipe from start to finish in less than 15 minutes!

Ingredients for Broccoli in the Air Fryer

First we will air fry the broccoli with a little oil and salt, and we will toss it in a delicious maple garlic sauce. Here are the items you will need to make this recipe:

  • Broccoli Florets: cut into similar bite-sized pieces
  • Olive Oil: helps the broccoli get crispy around the edges
  • Salt: adds flavor
  • Garlic: adds flavor
  • Maple Syrup: adds a subtle natural sweetness
  • Sesame Oil: adds flavor to the sauce we toss the roasted broccoli in at the end

The measurements for everything can be found in the recipe card down below.

Can I Use Frozen Broccoli?

Yes, frozen broccoli works great for this recipe. I would steam it until just heated through and then smash it as written in the instruction. Then proceed with the recipe as written to air fry it.

How to Make Air Fryer Broccoli

Here are the step-by-step directions for making this air fryer vegetable recipe:

  1. Steam: We are going to parboil the broccoli first to get it nice and tender before sticking it in the air fryer. Place the broccoli in a steamer basket in a large sauce pan with boiling water. Cover the pan and let it steam until tender.
  2. Flatten: Spread the steamed broccoli into a single layer on a cutting board or right in the air fryer basket and smash each one with the bottom of a sturdy drinking glass until it’s about 1/2 inch thick.
  3. Toss: Put the smashed broccoli into a large bowl and drizzle with olive oil and salt and then toss to coat. Return them to the air fryer basket or baking sheets in a single layer (you may need to cook them in batches depending on the size of your air fryer) and cook at 400 degrees F for 8 minutes. You’ll want the edges to just start to get charred.
  4. Stir: In a small bowl, stir together the garlic, maple syrup and sesame oil and then drizzle it over the broccoli and toss to coat.
  5. Serve: Serve immediately while it’s crispy and hot!

The instructions can also be found in the recipe card down below so keep scrolling for the complete recipe.

Our Favorite Air Fryer

We are totally obsessed with the Instant Pot Omni 10-in-1 Air Fryer. Not only does it air fry, but it also bakes, roasts, broils and even dehydrates. I’m sure any air fryer would do fine with this recipe, but this particular one is our favorite!

What to Eat with Crispy Broccoli

We eat this crispy air fryer broccoli year round so it’s great as a side dish for anything from the grill to the oven and for any ol’ weeknight meal. It’s also a great option for the holidays to free up the stove top and oven! Here are some ideas:

It would also be great in a buddha bowl or as a topping for a baked potato bar. It’s so versatile, it can really go with anything!

Tips for the Best Air Fryer Broccoli

There’s nothing difficult about this recipe, but I have found a few tips so that you have the most success…

  • Cut the fresh broccoli florets into similar sized pieces so that they cook evenly.
  • We love smashing the florets so that they get extra crispy, but you don’t have to smash them if you don’t want to.
  • Try different seasonings on the broccoli like garlic butter, red pepper flakes, garlic powder, lemon pepper, Kinder’s Buttery Steakhouse Seasoning, a squeeze of fresh lemon juice, or sprinkle with parmesan cheese!

Made Ahead and Storage Tips

This is a great make-ahead recipe. Follow the directions exactly as written and let it cool completely. Then you can store it in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. For the best results, reheat it in the air fryer for 3-5 minutes at 400 degrees F.

Unfortunately, air fryer broccoli doesn’t freeze well. It ends up totally mushy when it thaws.

Looking for a healthy and delicious way to cook broccoli? Try using an air fryer! This easy air fryer broccoli recipe will have you enjoying crispy and flavorful broccoli in less than 15 minutes.

Spice up your snack game with this delicious jalapeño poppers recipe made easy in the air fryer! This tasty treat features a creamy cheese filling and a crispy Panko topping that is the perfect appetizer for game day or New Year’s Eve!

When I was just graduating college, jalapeño poppers were really starting to take off as the most popular snack to bring to a game day football party. But I hated spicy. Who wants to bite into a straight up jalapeño?! It made no sense to me, but I could tell Cade actually thought they were pretty good.

I’ve set aside testing a recipe for many years now until it dawned on me that I could air fryer them! The crunchy topping, creamy/cheesy filling would be the perfect way to ease into spicier foods!

Ingredients for Homemade Jalapeño Poppers

The ingredients for homemade jalapeño poppers are simple and easy to find at the grocery store. Here is a list of everything you’ll need:

  • Jalapeños
  • Cream Cheese
  • Shredded Sharp Cheddar Cheese
  • Green Onions
  • Garlic Powder
  • Salt
  • Franks Red Hot Sauce
  • Panko Breadcrumbs
  • Butter

I always like a quick overview of everything I’ll need for a recipe. For all the measurements and details, scroll down to the recipe card below.

How to Make Jalapeno Poppers in the Air Fryer

Making jalapeno poppers in the air fryer is so simple and so much healthier than deep frying them. They are crisp on top and creamy in the middle, and perfect for a Super Bowl party or a game night with friends! Here are basic steps:

  1. Prep: Halve the jalapeno peppers and remove the seeds and membranes. Preheat the air fryer to 370 degrees F.
  2. Mix: Add all the filling ingredients into a small bowl and mix them all together.
  3. Fill: Spoon the cream cheese mixture into the pepper halves.
  4. Combine: In a separate small bowl, combine the panko and butter and then sprinkle the mixture over the top of the filled peppers.
  5. Bake: Place the peppers in a single file and bake for 10 minutes.
    • NOTE: You’ll need to cook the peppers in two batches. You don’t want to overcrowd the peppers.

Please refer to the photos below to see the steps. Then keep scrolling to see a video of the whole process too. All the instructions can also be found in the recipe card at the end of the post.

Tips for Making Jalapeño Poppers

My first tip for making jalapeño poppers is to wear gloves when you are handling the jalapeños. The natural oils that come from the jalapeños are very hot. It hurts if it gets under your fingernails, and if you accidentally touch your eyes or nose, you might want to die. Serious pain!

If you are serving these to people who don’t love heat, use mini bell peppers instead of the jalapeños and follow the same instructions. You could also omit the Frank’s hot sauce from the filling.

Use full fat or low fat cream cheese to make this recipe. I would avoid the fat free cream cheese. The texture just doesn’t turn out right once it is baked.

This is a great make-ahead recipe! You can make the poppers up to 4-5 days ahead of time and store them in an airtight container until you’re ready to air fry them. I would wait and add the panko topping right before baking them. You could also make them completely and freeze them until you’re ready to cook them. Just add a couple extra minutes if you’re cooking them from frozen.

How to Cut a Jalapeños

With gloves on, slice the jalapeños in half lengthwise and then use a small spoon to scrape out the seeds and membranes. I like to leave the stems on just to give them a little handle to grab onto while handling them and eating them.

If you want to leave some heat in the jalapeños, leave the membranes in them. The majority of the spiciness in jalapeños is found in the membranes and seeds.

How to Clean Jalapeno Oil from Your Hands

If you get some of the jalapeño oil on your fingers, there are a few things that will help remove it.

  • Cooking Oil: like canola or vegetable oil
  • Dish Soap: Dawn is the best for removing all oils from anything!
  • Acid: lemon juice or vinegar

What to Serve with Jalapeno Poppers

If you’re making a delicious appetizer spread for a game day party or New Year’s Eve, here are some other ideas what to serve with these poppers:

We have tons of appetizer recipes if you want to keep looking for more!

We also love to have a dip alongside the poppers. Ranch dressing works great, but our favorite is a garlic sauce, (Laziz Toum is our favorite which is from a local restaurant here in Salt Lake City).

Can I Make This Recipe in the Oven?

Yes, if you don’t have an air fryer, these can be cooked in the oven. Place the poppers on a baking sheet and bake in the oven preheated to 400 degrees F for 20 minutes or until golden and the peppers are tender.

Variations

Bacon makes everything better, and if you love the flavor of bacon with jalapeño poppers, you can add crispy cookies bacon bits to the filling or the sprinkled on the top. You could also wrap each popper in a slice of bacon before air frying them. Heaven!

If you want to make this recipe gluten free, then skip the panko topping.

Check out our bacon and strawberry stuffed jalapeno poppers if you are fan of sweet and spicy appetizers! So delicious!

Storing and Reheating

Leftover jalapeño poppers should be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator. They will keep for 4-5 days.

To reheat cold poppers, I like to use the air fryer to restore that crispiness. Place in an air fryer preheated to 370 degrees F for 4-5 minutes.

Looking for the perfect appetizer to spice up your next party? This delicious and easy jalapeno poppers recipe with a creamy cream cheese filling. I can’t believe how quickly this recipe comes together when we use the trusty air fryer! It is crispy, creamy, spicy and cheesy…all the things you love in a rockstar appetizer!

All of these instructions can also be found in the recipe card at the end of the post.

What is the Best Bread for French Toast?

I love to keep this recipe simple and affordable by using Texas toast or cinnamon swirl bread that I can just grab at Costco. If you want to get a little fancier, challah bread, croissants, or brioche will also work great.

PRO TIP: The real key to the bread you use is to make sure it is a couple of days old. If it’s a little stale, it will soak up the custard milk and egg mixture well and the baked french toast muffins won’t be soggy.

What to Eat with French Toast Muffins

If I’m making these muffins for dinner, then I like to serve them with a side of scrambled eggs and bacon! I like to balance out a sweet breakfast food with sometime savory! A fruit salad also makes a great side dish as well!

I already mentioned that I like to drizzle some syrup over the top of them. Maple syrup is delicious, but our buttermilk syrup is probably my favorite! That stuff is liquid gold!

How to Make French Toast Muffins in the Oven

If you don’t have an air fryer, you can totally make these muffins in the oven. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F and spray a muffin tin with cooking spray. Fill each cup with the prepared bread and egg mixture. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the muffins are golden brown.

Variations

Air fryer french toast muffin cups are easy to make you’re own. Here are some ideas for add-ins:

  • Raisins
  • Craisins
  • Chopped Pecans
  • Chocolate Chips
  • Cinnamon Chips

Another delicious variation would be to substitute the sugar (or some of the sugar) with light brown sugar. You can also top the muffins with jam or diced fruit like berries or peaches and a dollop of whipped cream.

Can French Toast Muffins Be Made Ahead of Time?

Yes! This is a great make ahead recipe. Follow the directions as written and then store the filled silicone muffin cups in an airtight container in the refrigerator until ready to air fry. They can be made up to a day ahead of time.

Storing and Reheating

Leftovers should be stored in an airtight container. The can be stored either in the fridge or at room temperature, and they will keep for 3-5 days.

French toast muffins also freeze well. Let them cool completely and then wrap individually in plastic wrap. Store in a ziploc bag or freezer-safe container. They will keep for up to 3 months.

The muffins can be reheated in the microwave, oven or air fryer. The microwave is quick and easy of course, but you’ll lose the crunchy texture on the outside. Reheat in the oven at 350 degrees F in a baking dish covered with foil. Bake for 8-10 minutes. To reheat in the air fryer, preheat to 350 degrees and they will be ready in a couple of minutes.

Upgrade your breakfast routine with these tasty Air Fryer French Toast Muffins. Quick and easy to make, they are perfect for a busy morning, a weekend brunch or breakfast for dinner!

Craving the signature taste of Chick fil A nuggets? Skip the drive-thru and the price tag and try this easy homemade recipe with a delicious homemade sauce for the perfect copycat dish.

When our girls were little, Cade would take them on daddy daughter date nights periodically and the girls always picked Chick-fil-A as the place the wanted to eat dinner. I used to love Dairy Queen as a kiddo so I get it. Plus it’s a daddy date so I’m not invited.

When I was little I guess I used to get out of bed a lot and wake up super early. Which is funny because I HATE, DESPISE, DETEST, and VEHEMENTLY PROTEST waking up. I looooove to sleep and take naps. Love it. Anyway, my parents made me a chart when I was like 3 I think. Every day I didn’t get out of bed I got a whale stamp (remember how stamps weren’t all cool yet? It was just an old black ink pad and whale) on the date and after a week I got to go to Dairy Queen. What a treat!

So, I started researching Chick fil-A chicken copycat recipes and experimenting with recipes. Every recipe I saw had pickle juice so I was intrigued. This is a perfect copycat recipe! And my favorite part, it’s a fraction of the cost! Eating out has gotten so dang expensive!

How to Make Copycat Chick Fil A Nuggets

For this copycat Chick Fil A nuggets recipe, we will start by brining the chicken for a few hours to infuse the chicken with flavor and help tenderize it. Then we bread the chicken chunks and deep fry them. It’s so easy! Here are more details about each step:

Brine the Chicken

  1. Brine: Place the chicken pieces in a bowl or airtight container and pour the pickle juice and water over the chicken for 3-4 hours or overnight in the fridge.

Make the Chicken

  1. Mix: Add all the ingredients for the breading mixture to a large bowl and whisk together.
  2. Whisk: In a separate bowl, whisk together the egg and milk.
  3. Prep: Add the oil to a large saucepan and heat to about 350 degrees.

Dip the Chicken

  1. Drain: Grab the brining chicken from the fridge and drain all the pickle juice.
  2. Dredge: Dip each chicken chunk into the egg mixture, and then dredge in the flour mixture. Repeat this step twice on each piece of chicken.
  3. Deep Fry: Place about 8 nuggets at a time into fryer and cook about 4-6 minutes until golden brown. You’ll have to cook the nuggets in batches so that you don’t overcrowd the pan.
  4. Drain: Remove to a plate lined with a paper towel to drain.
  5. Serve: While they are still warm, serve with the copycat Chick-fil-A sauce (see next section).
    • NOTE: I have one kid that won’t eat these nuggets with anything but Chick-fil-A sauce, but I have another kid that is loyal to ranch. So bring out all the dipping sauces and let everyone pick their favorite. Other delicious options are honey mustard sauce, BBQ sauce or just ketchup.

The complete instructions can be found in the recipe card down below.

How to Make Copycat Chick Fil A Sauce

Making the dipping sauce is easy! Whisk all the ingredients together in a small bowl and keep in the refrigerator until you’re ready to eat.

If you don’t want to make your sauce from scratch, you can buy Chick-fil-A sauce at the grocery store now.

What to Eat with Chick Fil A Nuggets

A trip to Chick-fil-A isn’t complete without those signature waffle fries, right?! They honestly don’t do much for me, but hot salty fries are one of my love languages, so a side of crispy french fries is a great side dish option!

Homemade mac and cheese is classic side dish with chicken nuggets. If you want go with a little lighter side option, make a fresh salad or make some roasted veggies on the side.

Why Use Peanut Oil For Frying?

Peanut oil has a high smoke point and neutral taste which makes it perfect for frying foods.

Peanut oil is low in saturated fat and high in polyunsaturated and monounsaturated fats, making it a healthier choice for frying.

If you don’t have peanut oil, vegetable oil or canola oil are both good substitutes.

Is Chicken Breast Healthier Than Thighs?

Breasts and thighs actually do not differ that much in nutrient content.

Both chicken thighs and breasts are good sources of lean protein.

Chicken breast contains less fat and fewer calories than dark meat, but the differences are small.

Can I Cook These in the Air Fryer?

Yes, these work great in the air fryer! Preheat your air fryer to 390 degrees F. Coat the basket of your air fryer with cooking oil. Follow the directions in the recipe card for coating the chicken. Spray the coated chicken chunks with cooking spray on all sides.

Air fry a batch of chicken for 5 minutes. Shake the basket and spray any spots on the chicken that look dry and flour-y. Cook for another 3-4 minutes until golden brown. Repeat these steps with the rest of the chicken pieces. Be sure to not overcrowd your air fryer basket.

Storing Chicken Nuggets

Leftovers should be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator. They will keep up to 4-5 days.

Chicken nuggets also freeze extremely well. Let them cool completely an then flash freeze them so that they don’t stick together as they freeze. Place all the nugs on a baking sheet and stick them in the freezer for an hour or so. Then place them in a ziploc bag. They will keep in the freezer for up to 3 months.

Can You Reheat Chicken Nuggets?

You can reheat chicken nuggets.

The microwave may make chicken nuggets tough and soggy, so the best way to reheat is: place the chicken nuggets on a parchment paper lined cookie sheet, and pre-heat the oven to 350 degrees.

Ten minutes in the oven delivers great taste and crunchy texture.

Ingredients for Airfryer Whole Chicken

Cooking an entire chicken in an air fryer couldn’t be easier! It tastes just like the yummy rotisserie chicken you can buy at the grocery store only you control all the ingredients. Here is what you will need:

  • Whole Chicken
  • Olive Oil
  • Butter
  • Seasonings: Smoked Paprika, Kosher Salt, Garlic Powder
  • Thyme
  • Honey

The measurements for each ingredient can be found in the recipe card down below. This is just meant to be an overview of what you will need.

How to Cook a Whole Chicken in the Air Fryer

Airfrying a whole chicken is so simple! All you need to do is pat it dry, season it and let it cook in the air fryer. Here are the step-by-step instructions:

  1. Dry: Pat the chicken dry with paper towels.
  2. Rub: Mix the butter and spices together in a small bowl and then rub it all over the outside of the chicken and under the skin.
  3. Tie: Using kitchen twine, tie up the legs and wings.
  4. Air Fry: Place the chicken breast-side down in the air fryer preheated to 350 degrees F for 30 minutes.
    • NOTE: If you don’t have an air fryer, I would recommend following our roasted chicken recipe and just cook it in the oven.
  5. Flip: Using paper towels, turn the bird over and cook for another 20-30 minutes. Use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature. It should be 165 degrees F.
  6. Rest: Remove the chicken from the air fryer and let it rest for 10 minutes.
  7. Drizzle: Drizzle honey all over the top of the chicken and then slice and serve.

The complete instructions are available in the recipe at the end of the post. Keep scrolling for all the details!

Tips for Achieving Crispy Skin

Patting the chicken dry before adding the butter and seasonings is critical to achieving that crispy delicious skin. Drying the chicken removes excess moisture which will allow the butter to help crisp up the skin. Afterall, it’s the crispy skin that we all want, right?! Flipping the chicken halfway through the air frying also helps the chicken cook evenly.

Cooking Time and Temperature Recommendations

Depending on the size of your whole chicken, it will take about 50-60 minutes to cook in the airfryer. You will start by cooking the chicken with the breast side down, and then flip it over and cook until the internal temperature measures 165 degrees F in the thickest part of the thigh. That will take an additional 20-30 minutes.

Alternative Seasoning Options

We love the simple combination of smoked paprika, salt, garlic powder and fresh thyme, but you can definitely experiment with different seasonings. You can change up the fresh herbs and use rosemary, basil, oregano, and/or sage. You could also add some lemon zest for a bright citrus burst of flavor. If you want to use the chicken for a Mexican meal, use cumin, chili powder or a taco seasoning blend. The options are really endless!

What to Eat with a Whole Chicken

This air fryer whole chicken recipe is so flexible when it comes to finding sides to go with it. Here are a few suggestions:

How to Use Air Fryer Whole Chicken

If you have leftovers or you are just air frying the chicken to use in another recipe, this chicken goes great in soups, wraps, salads, sandwiches, pasta, bowls, etc. Some of our favorite ways to use this chicken is in chicken pot pie, honey lime chicken burritos, or white chicken chili.

Health Benefits of Cooking with an Air Fryer

Using an air fryer to fry food rather than oil reduces the calories and fat significantly.

Reasons I Love This Recipe

  • Quick: There is only about 5 minutes of prep time for this recipe and it only takes about an hour to cook.
  • Flavor: The flavor of this chicken is mouth-watering! That crispy seasoned chicken skin on top of the juicy chicken is irresistible.
  • Easy: No complicated cooking instructions here, just rub the seasonings all over the chicken and then let the air fryer do all the work.
  • Healthy: One serving of air fryer chicken is less than 300 calories and is low carb and high in protein.
  • Texture: The skin is crispy and adds so much texture when you pair it with that juicy chicken.

Storing and Reheating

Whole chicken should be stored in the refrigerator in an airtight container for up to 1 week. I always prefer to use it within a day or two. It also freezes extremely well. A FoodSaver will help you to be able to get the best results when freezing chicken as it sucks out the air and vacuum seals the meat. Remove from the freezer and let it thaw in the fridge for a least 1 day and probably more.

To reheat air fried chicken, place it back in the air fryer heated to 350 degrees for about 10-15 minutes. You can also reheat in a microwave on medium for 2-5 minutes.

Learn how to achieve perfectly crispy skin and tender meat in your air fryer with this delicious whole chicken recipe. It’s a healthier and easier alternative to traditional roasted chicken that will have your taste buds begging for more.
